The alpaca industry is a relatively new, rapidly
growing industry that is gaining interest of animal lovers and ranchers
across North America. Alpacas are dubbed the aristocrat of all ranch
animals. They are easy keepers, gentle and charismatic, do well in small
areas and are environmentally friendly.
The alpacas produce a luxurious,
hypoallergenic fiber that is used to produce a wide variety of clothing,
blankets, rugs and toys. High profile designers are catching on to this
valuable fiber and are incorporating it into their lines of clothing,
demanding the need for the continual supply of the alpaca fiber.

animals themselves are a terrific investment and since the US Alpaca Registry is closed to further importation, their growth in the US will be
