There is a wealth of resources in the alpaca
business. We subscribe to The Alpaca Magazine, which provides
great articles on understanding and growing an alpaca business. It also
provides an annual Farm and Ranch Guide that lists alpaca ranches
throughout the United States and Canada. Alpaca ranches are surprisingly
helpful in assisting others with business advice.
We
are also members of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, or AOBA,
which allows us access to a library of
books on alpaca and ranch management. The AOBA also organizes seminars throughout the year where we learn about neonatal care, health care,
and business management as well as
meet other alpaca ranchers. Various alpaca sellers invite participation
in Health Care Days to teach techniques and aspects of caring for herds.

We are an alpaca breeding ranch, selling offspring to other ranchers
for breeding purposes and to individuals interested in acquiring truly
unique pets.
|
 |
We procure finished alpaca goods directly from Peru as well as from
the US Cooperative to sell on our website and at our ranch store.
|
 |
We participate in alpaca shows across the nation giving us
opportunities to demonstrate our animals and build business relationships
with other breeders.
|
 |
We are members of Alpaca Nation Internet Website. This is a
nationwide, comprehensive search engine of alpaca breeders where we are
able to showcase our herd in a structured, impressive manner, as well as
search out top of the line studs to breed with.
|
 |
We will provide an educational program for groups of school
children and other organizations to come to our ranch to learn about the
alpacas and their value. This will be a hands-on, unique experience for
our guests.
|
 |
We will provide continual support to anyone purchasing an alpaca
from us. Starting out in the alpaca business can be a bit scary, but
we’ll be there to help every step of the way.
|
 |
We continually attend training seminars to learn the best
techniques for handling and caring for our herd. We understand that good
people-animal communication is an important ingredient to having stress
free alpacas and succeeding in this business. |
